Pep Guardiola says he is happy with how his Manchester City team played despite being handed another loss.
The Premier League champions were handed a 2-0 defeat at Juventus, condemning them to a lowly 22nd in the Champions League standings.
City dominated much of the game in Turin, but were hit on the counter for both goals.
However, Guardiola has defended his players even though it has only been one win in 10 for the Spaniard.
Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, he said: “We played good, really, really good.
“We concede few, some transition happened but I am so proud for these players.
“They give everything and they tried and now we live in this period and hopefully we can change results.
“We played well”

“I know it’s difficult, in the Champions League in Europe. We played really good. Today we have done really well, didn’t lose many balls like in the past, we tried, we arrived in the positions.
“Against Italian teams, defend so deep, so compact. Master of these kind of situations. We play who we are and we missed the result but the performance is there.
“We have two games, we need one point maybe.
“You go to Turin, Paris, our three games away were really tough. You have to accept it. We will turn around, not forget that period, appreciate more what we have done in the past, what we are going to do in the future.”
It seems unlikely that City will now qualify for the next round of the Champions League automatically.
Instead, they will have to enter through a play-off round for finishing between 9th and 24th.
Should they win, they will earn a place in the Last 16 of the competition.
But as Guardiola mentioned, they will likely need at least one more point from their games against Paris Saint-Germain and Club Brugge.
